Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (1 1/4-pound) salmon fillet, about 3/4-inch-thick, skin removed, cut into 4 portions
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

Directions

Step 1 –In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the bourbon, the maple syrup, the soy sauce, and the garlic powder and stir to combine.

Step 2 –Bring the sauce mixture to a simmer.

Step 3 –Season the salmon fillets with the salt and the pepper on both sides.

Step 4 –Add the salmon fillets to the sauce mixture and reduce the heat to medium-low.

Step 5 –Cook the salmon fillets, flipping them over once and spooning the glaze over the fish a few times, until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 6 –Serve.
