If you want a little taste of fall as you rise in the morning, then you’ve got to get yourself a slice of this Glazed Apple Loaf! Whether it’s snowing or sunny or the leaves are actually falling, this cinnamon-y, moist, apple-filled, morning treat is sure to please. Gosh, and the sugary, creamy glaze on top will truly have you craving it no matter what season it is! You’re sure to “fall” in love with this Glazed Apple Loaf! It’s just so delightful!


For the apple loaf:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups baking apples, such as Honeycrisp, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil, such as canola

For the glaze:

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, plus more, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons milk, plus more, to taste


Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a loaf pan.

Step 3 –In a small mixing bowl, add the flour, the cinnamon, the baking soda, the salt, and the baking powder.

Step 4 –In a large bowl, add the egg, the sugar, the apples, and the oil and mix well.

Step 5 –Stir the flour mixture into the apple mixture until it is just moistened. It may seem dry and crumbly.

Step 6 –Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and evenly spread it out.

Step 7 –Bake the bread until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 35-45 minutes.

Step 8 –Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Step 9 –In a small bowl, add 1/4 cup of the powdered sugar and 2 teaspoons of the milk and whisk together until smooth. If the glaze is too runny, add the extra powdered sugar to achieve the desired consistency. If the glaze is too thick, add the extra milk to achieve the desired consistency.

Step 10 –Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.

Step 11 –Slice and serve.
