How Long Does Coolsculpting Last (And Why)?

Exact Answer: 6 Years To 9 Years

Coolsculpting is a procedure that is performed to reduce fat in the body. In simple words, it can be said that the process of cool sculpting the fat cells of the body is killed. As a result, the body becomes less on fat cells and consequently, the fat levels of the body reduce.

The results of the procedure of cool sculpting are ideally supposed to last forever. That means, once the results are completely visible, fat would never increase in that particular part of the body again where the process of cool sculpting has been performed.

The major reason behind that is that in the process of cool sculpting, the fat cells are removed. Once the fat cells are removed, or killed from a particular part of the body, the fat cells cannot regrow again.

In other words, it can be said that fat cells would never grow in that particular part of the body. As a result, that part of the body would never witness an increase in fat levels. Thus, in ideal conditions, the process of cool sculpting is supposed to last forever.

But, as mentioned earlier, it is supposed to last forever in ideal conditions only. Many factors decrease the time for how long the results of coolsculpting last.

Some of these factors are the accuracy and precision by which the procedure has been performed, the lifestyle of the person, the diet of the person, and other such factors. The major time determining factor among these is the fitness level of the person.

If a person has a good fitness level, exercises regularly, eats healthy, maintains a good fat ratio then the procedure of cool sculpting would be more effective and the results would last longer as compared to a person who is not physically fit.

In most general cases, a physically fit body would not make the fat cells regrow in the part of the body where cool sculpting has been performed. On average, the results of coolsculpting last for about a minimum of 15 years to a maximum of 30 years.

While on the other hand, a body that is not physically fit would make the fat cells regrow in the part of the body where cool sculpting has been performed after a particular time. On average, the results of coolsculpting last for about a minimum of 6 years to a maximum of 9 years.

Why Does Coolsculpting Last That Long?

According to the statistical records, about 20% to 30% of the reduction in fat cells on the part of the body where the procedure of cool sculpting has been performed, are visible after a minimum of 3 weeks to a maximum of 4 weeks.

While on the other hand, around 90% to 100% of the reduction in fat cells are visible after a minimum of 8 weeks to a maximum of 10 weeks once the process of cool sculpting has been performed.

The procedure of cool sculpting is performed on the parts of the body where fat deposition occurs. These parts of the body differ from body to body and many other factors as well affect the parts of the body where the fat can get deposited in the body.

Some of the factors determining where fat deposition can occur in the body could be the type of diet followed, the lifestyle of a person, and the physical fitness of a person. Fat is deposited in body parts such as the stomach, waist, hips, thighs, chin, breasts, and upper arms.

Conclusion

The results of the cool sculpting are not visible exactly after the procedure of cool sculpting has been performed. Instead, in most general cases the results are visible after a minimum of 3 weeks to a maximum of 4 weeks.

It is to be noted that after 3 weeks to 4 weeks only a nominal reduction in fat cells can be seen in the body.

But, the actual results, which means the actual reduction in the fat levels on the part of the body where the procedure of cool sculpting has been performed, are visible after a minimum of 8 weeks to a maximum of 10 weeks.
