You can use a frying pan as well to steam carrots. You just need to add water and salt, boil it, and then add the carrots in the water and cover it. It takes less time to get steamed this way.

Not just this, carrots can be steamed in a microwave as well. This way you just need to put carrots in a way with 2-3 spoons of water and cook it at high power for 6 to 8 minutes.
