Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg, at room temperature
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 –Grease or paper-line 12 muffin cups.
Step 3 –In a large bowl, combine the flour, the sugar, the baking powder, and the salt.
Step 4 –In a small bowl, combine the egg, the milk, the butter, and the honey.
Step 5 –Stir the wet mixture into the dry mixture until the dry mixture is just moistened, careful not to overmix.
Step 6 –Fill the prepared muffin cups about 3/4 full each with the batter.
Step 7 –Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 15-18 minutes.
Step 8 –Cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
Step 9 –Serve warm.
