Ingredients
- 4 (4-ounce) tilapia fillets
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup almonds, sliced
Directions
Step 1 –Sprinkle the fillets with the salt and the pepper.
Step 2 –In a large nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Step 3 –Add the fillets and cook until the fish begins to just flake easily with a fork and are cooked to 145 degrees F internally, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Step 4 –Transfer the fillets to a plate and keep warm.
Step 5 –Add the butter, the wine, and the lemon juice to the skillet.
Step 6 –Cook and stir until the butter is melted and the mixture reaches a simmer.
Step 7 –Cook until the fillets reach an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F.
Step 8 –Serve the fish with the sauce, sprinkled with the almonds.
