Slow-It-Down Glazed Carrots

They’re sweet, tender, buttery, and made at a peacefully slow pace in a slow cooker to help you unwind and relax. Slowing down is a must, so enjoy every second of it with these Slow-It-Down Glazed Carrots!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds carrots, ends trimmed off and sliced into 2-inch-thick chunks
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • fresh thyme sprigs, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Add the carrots to the slow cooker.

Step 2 –In a microwave-safe bowl, add the butter and heat in the microwave until it has melted.

Step 3 –Add the brown sugar, the salt, and the minced garlic to the melted butter and whisk to combine.

Step 4 –Pour the butter mixture over the carrots and toss to coat.

Step 5 –Cover the slow cooker and cook the carrots on high heat until they are tender, about 3 hours.

Step 6 –Spoon the accumulated juices over the carrots and garnish with the thyme.

Step 7 –Serve.
