Soda Surprise Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 2 (21-ounce) cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 (16-ounce) package yellow cake mix, clumps broken up
  • 1 (12-ounce) can lemon-lime-flavored soda
  • whipped cream, to taste, store-bought or homemade, for topping

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 –Pour the cherry pie filling into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Step 4 –Evenly sprinkle the cake mix over the pie filling.

Step 5 –Slowly pour the soda over the cake mix.

Step 6 –Bake the cobbler, about 45 minutes

Step 7 –Transfer the baking dish to a wire rack and let the cobbler cool, about 30 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve the cobbler topped with the whipped cream.
