  • 2 sticks salted butter, cut into pieces, plus more for greasing the pan
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (10-12-ounce) jar strawberry preserves

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Butter a 9×13-inch rectangular pan.

Step 3 –Mix together the butter, the flour, the oats, the brown sugar, the baking powder, and the salt.

Step 4 –Press 1/2 of the oat mixture into the prepared pan.

Step 5 –Spread the strawberry preserves over the crust layer.

Step 6 –Sprinkle the other half of the oat mixture over the top and pat lightly.

Step 7 –Bake until light brown, about 30-40 minutes.

Step 8 –Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
