Ingredients
- cornmeal, for dusting
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1 cup rotisserie chicken, diced
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, divided
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup red onions, thinly sliced
- chopped cilantro, optional, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 –Prepare a baking sheet and liberally sprinkle it with cornmeal.
Step 2 –Roll the pizza dough out relatively flat.
Step 3 –Transfer the rolled dough to the prepared baking sheet.
Step 4 –In a medium bowl, combine the chicken and 1/2 of the barbecue sauce.
Step 5 –Spread the remaining barbecue sauce directly onto the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Step 6 –Sprinkle the cheese on top of the barbecue sauce.
Step 7 –Add the coated chicken on top of the cheese.
Step 8 –Scatter the red onions on the top of the pizza.
Step 9 –Put the pizza into the oven until the crust is fully baked and golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. For best results, rotate the pizza halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Step 10 –Sprinkle the pizza with chopped cilantro and serve warm!
