6-Minute Steak

It’s going to be a busy one, but that doesn’t mean your stomach must sacrifice because of it! Throw all the savory and citrusy ingredients in a bag with that yummy steak and let it marinate. Once you’re ready to eat (say 30-or-so minutes later), whip out the 6-Minute Steak and fire up the grill. The cooking part really only takes 6 minutes! There’s no excuse for salt-filled, frozen foods or unhealthy fast food anymore. You can eat like kings and queens even when you’re on a time crunch and feeling overly exhausted. Thank goodness for the timeliness of this 6-Minute Steak! Our lives are forever changed because of it!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon jalapeño, diced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro fresh, chopped
  • 2 pounds flat iron steak

Directions

Step 1 –In a large resealable plastic bag, add the garlic, the soy sauce, the olive oil, the lime juice, the ginger, the jalapeño, and the cilantro and gently squeeze the bag to combine.

Step 2 –Place the steaks in the marinade, seal the bag, and allow them to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes and up to 6 hours.

Step 3 –Heat the grill to high heat.

Step 4 –Let the steak-marinade mixture sit in the bag at room temperature while the grill heats.

Step 5 –Grill the steaks until they reach an internal temperature of 135 degrees F for medium-rare, about 3 minutes per side.

Step 6 –Let the steaks rest for 3 minutes.

Step 7 –Slice and serve.
