This one is a slam dunk. Everyone loves burgers, sure, but you can find burgers anywhere really. What you can’t always find… unless you make them of course… are Buttery Grilled Shrimp. Juicy shrimp, already a wonderful balance of sweetness and savory, basted in an herb-butter mixture until golden… yes, that will make your cookout a culinary sensation. These Buttery Grilled Shrimp need no introduction, but you’ll be thrilled to make their acquaintance!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- salt, to taste
- 2 pounds shrimp, uncooked, peeled and deveined
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the grill to medium heat.
Step 2 –In a small bowl, combine the butter, the lemon juice, the chili powder, the ground ginger, and the salt.
Step 3 –Set aside 1/4 cup of the butter mixture.
Step 4 –Thread the shrimp onto eight metal or soaked wooden skewers.
Step 5 –Grill the shrimp, covered, until they turn pink, about 3-5 minutes per side. Brush the shrimp as they cook with the remaining butter mixture.
Step 6 –Transfer the shrimp to a large plate.
Step 7 –Brush the shrimp with the reserved butter mixture.
Step 8 –Serve hot.
