Cookie Dough Delight

Everyone has eaten cookie dough from a tube or tub at some point in their life, but Cookie Dough Delight elevates that guilty pleasure to never-before-tasted heights! Buttery (and completely safe!) cookie dough layered between chocolate chip whipped cream, rich chocolate pudding, and actual cookies in a wondrous trifle. Every bite is like eating cookies with milk and indulging in cookie dough at the same time! Cookie Dough Delight will certainly delight you, your loved ones, and your inner child!

Ingredients

For the cookie dough:

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 1/4 cups graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/3 cups mini chocolate chips

    For the whipped cream:

    • 1 cup mini chocolate chips, plus more, to taste, for topping
    • 2 (8-ounce) cartons imitation whipped topping, thawed

    For the pudding:

    • 2 (3.4-ounce) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
    • 4 cups milk, cold

    Directions

    Step 1 –In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter, the brown sugar, and the vanilla until light and fluffy.

    Step 2 –Mix in the graham crackers, the salt, and 1/3 cup of the milk.

    Step 3 –Fold in 1 1/3 cups of the mini chocolate chips.

    Step 4 –Crumble the cookie dough mixture and pour about 1/3 of it into the bottom of a trifle dish.

    Step 5 –Mix the remaining 1 cup of the mini chocolate chips and the imitation whipped topping together.

    Step 6 –Pour 1/3 of the whipped topping mixture on top of the cookie dough in the trifle dish.

    Step 7 –Add a 1/3 of the cookies in an even layer to the trifle dish.

    Step 8 –Combine the pudding mix and the remaining milk, whisking until the granules have completely dissolved.

    Step 9 –Let the pudding set, for about 5 minutes.

    Step 10 –Pour a third of the pudding mixture on top of the cookies in the trifle dish, using a knife to make sure it is smooth and even.

    Step 11 –Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the trifle dish.

    Step 12 –Cover the trifle with the remaining whipped cream mixture.

    Step 13 –Refrigerate the trifle until the cookie pieces have softened, at least 2 hours.

    Step 14 –Serve topped with the extra chocolate chips and the extra cookie pieces.
