Ingredients
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons canola oil
- 4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- toasted sesame seeds, optional, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 –In a small bowl, whisk the vinegar, the soy sauce, and the honey together until they are blended.
Step 2 –In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, add the oil and brown the chicken thighs on both sides.
Step 3 –Add the garlic and the ginger to the skillet and cook, while stirring, for 1 minute.
Step 4 –Stir the vinegar mixture into the chicken mixture and bring it to a boil.
Step 5 –Reduce the heat and simmer the chicken mixture, covered, until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 170 degrees F, about 8-10 minutes.
Step 6 –Uncover the skillet and cook until the sauce has slightly thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
