First-Class Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless pork chops (6 4-ounce portions)
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –Adjust the oven rack to the middle position.

Step 2 –Preheat the broiler on high.

Step 3 –Spray a broiler pan with a tray or a baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 4 –In a medium bowl, stir together the ketchup, the honey, the soy sauce, and the garlic.

Step 5 –Lightly season the pork chops on both sides with the salt and the pepper.

Step 6 –Brush each chop with the glaze mixture on both sides.

Step 7 –Place the chops on the broiler tray and broil, turning every 5 minutes and basting throughout, until the pork chops are cooked through at 145 degrees F and the glaze is caramelized, about 40 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve hot.
