Glazed Spiral Ham

It’s the holidays! Or maybe it isn’t yet… that’s not important! What IS important is that it’s time to bust out the main course to end all main courses! One dish fits the bill; Glazed Spiral Ham. Succulent, salty ham coated in a fruity, tangy, tropical spread that adds a wonderful contrasting sweetness to the deeply meaty flavor. Slow-roasted until it almost falls off the bone, Glazed Spiral Ham runs circles around all other meals!

Ingredients

  • 1 (7-9-pound) spiral-sliced fully-cooked ham, bone-in
  • 1/2 cup pineapple preserves
  • 1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

Step 2 –Place the ham directly on a roasting pan, cut-side down.

Step 3 –Cover and bake the ham until it reaches an internal temperature of 130-135 degrees F, about 1 hour 15 minutes-1 hour 45 minutes.

Step 4 –In a bowl, mix the pineapple preserves, the raspberry jam, the brown sugar, and the ground cloves.

Step 5 –Spread the jam mixture over the ham.

Step 6 –Bake the ham uncovered, until it reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees F, about 20-30 minutes.

Step 7 –Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve.
