Ground beef and creamy rice in a tomato-bright and creamy sauce and topped with toasted, creamy cheese—it all comes together to make a big band of taste! Hamburger Jazz only takes 30 minutes to make, so you can jazz up your weeknight rotation anytime!
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (10.75-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
- 1/2 cup long-grain white rice
- 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Directions
Step 1 –In a skillet over medium-high heat, crumble the ground beef.
Step 2 –Cook and stir the beef until it is evenly browned, for about 6-8 minutes.
Step 3 –Drain off the grease from the skillet.
Step 4 –Stir in the mushroom soup, diced tomatoes and juice, and rice.
Step 5 –Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low.
Step 6 –Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the rice is cooked, about 15 minutes.
Step 7 –Preheat the oven broiler.
Step 8 –Transfer the beef mixture to a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Step 9 –Sprinkle the cheese on evenly.
Step 10 –Broil until the cheese is melted and toasty, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 11 –Season with salt and pepper and serve!
