The result is this Honey Bear Cornbread, and this is unlike any cornbread you’ve ever had! Still so sweet and cheerful, with a note of tanginess and creaminess, and of course the floral goodness of golden honey. Grab your butter knife and your favorite butter, because Honey Bear Cornbread wants to bring you in for a flavor-filled bear hug!
Ingredients
- 2 (8.5-ounce) boxes cornbread mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 eggs
- butter, optional, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 –Coat a 9×13-inch pan or muffin tin with nonstick spray.
Step 3 –Mix together the cornbread mix, the milk, the sour cream, the honey, and the eggs.
Step 4 –Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
Step 5 –Bake until the cornbread or corn muffins are golden and cooked through, about 18-20 minutes for corn muffins and 25-27 minutes for cornbread.
Step 6 –Serve with the butter.
