Each tender, pink shrimp is coated in a citrus-infused, honey-sweet marinade and then roasted to ensure the glaze becomes sticky and caramelized. Ingredients
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 lemon, zested
- kosher salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 1/2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
Directions
Step 1 –In a medium bowl, add the hoisin sauce, the honey, the lemon juice, the lemon zest, the salt, and the pepper and whisk to combine.
Step 2 –In a gallon-size resealable plastic bag or a large bowl, add the shrimp and the marinade and toss gently so the shrimp is completely coated.
Step 3 –Marinate the shrimp for at least 30 minutes and up to overnight, turning the shrimp occasionally.
Step 4 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 5 –Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Step 6 –Place the shrimp onto the prepared baking sheet, discarding the marinade.
Step 7 –Roast the shrimp until they are just pink and reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 6-8 minutes.
Step 8 –Serve immediately, garnished with the cilantro.
