Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (15-ounce) can Italian tomato sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups 2% milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 –Cook the macaroni to al dente, according to the package directions.

Step 4 –Drain the cooked macaroni and transfer it to the prepared baking dish.

Step 5 –In a large skillet, cook the beef and the onions over medium heat, while crumbling the meat, until the beef is no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.

Step 6 –Drain the skillet of excess fat.

Step 7 –Stir in the tomato sauce and heat through.

Step 8 –In a small bowl, combine the egg, the chicken soup, the milk, the butter, and the parsley.

Step 9 –Pour the egg mixture over the macaroni in the dish.

Step 10 –Spoon the beef mixture over the top of the macaroni.

Step 11 –Sprinkle the casserole with the cheddar cheese.

Step 12 –Bake, uncovered, until bubbly, about 25-30 minutes.

Step 13 –Let the casserole stand for 10 minutes, then serve.
