Couples who were together for two years were 20 percent less likely to break up.

It says that those couples who tend to wait for the longest to marry were the most satisfied in their longstanding marriage and the least likely to be divorced. For most, this may be the recommended time, but experts have certainly recognized that a successful marriage is more about preparation than just time.
