Ingredients
- 11 ounces Italian sausages, removed from the cases and crumbled
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, with juices
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 cups fresh baby spinach, loosely packed
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- parmesan cheese, freshly grated, to taste
Directions
Step 1 –In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat on the stove-top, stirring occasionally until it’s browned.
Step 2 –Drain the fat and leave the sausage in the pan.
Step 3 –Add the garlic, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, cream, and tortellini.
Step 4 –Cook until the tortellini is cooked and the sauce has reduced to your desired thickness, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 5 –Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted.
Step 6 –Season with salt and pepper and serve with fresh parmesan sprinkled over top.
